LoraxPRO Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 1,2009
LoraxPRO Principles
We built LoraxPRO to make it easier for project teams to achieve positive green building outcomes and/or certify their buildings to the USGBC’s LEED standards. Accomplishing a LEED certification requires a significant amount of team-based and information-based coordination including uploading and sharing project-specific and personal information through LoraxPRO’s software. We value our users efforts to develop, maintain and certify their building projects to the LEED standards and your privacy is important to us.
LoraxPRO follows two core principles:
You should have control over your project and personal information. LoraxPRO helps you share project-based information with the design and implementation team. Information required for LEED certification includes project-specific data, plans, pictures, specifications, materials lists and receipts.
When coordinating with your project team, a minimum amount of personal contact information is required to build each team member’s profile including contact and professional/personal information, pictures, interests, and other information specific to you. You control the users invited to work on your project team who can share in that project information and view the personal information of the other team members. To the extent that you maintain a public profile within LoraxPRO, the information displayed is controlled by you.
You should have access to information others want to share.
There is an increasing amount of information available to project teams on how to design and build environmentally-responsible green buildings and get those buildings LEED certified; you may want to know information that relates to you, your project team, and others involved with your project. LoraxPRO was designed to help you more easily get that information, share it with others, and apply it to your project.
By using or accessing LoraxPRO you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collected (“User Information”)
When licensing LoraxPRO for your project, you (“Customer”) provide financial qualification and billing information such as billing name and address, credit card number, and the number of employees within the organization that will be using LoraxPRO (“Company”). When you register a project with LoraxPRO, you provide us with certain project information including location, square footage, parking spaces, and other information required by the USGBC for LEED-certification. You also provide information required to calculate compliance with the specific LEED credits the project chooses to attempt. Finally, you provide personal information, such as your name, company, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and any other personal or preference information that you provide to us.

By default, we use a persistent cookie that stores your Login ID and password to make it easier for you to login when you come back to LoraxPRO. You can remove or block this cookie using the settings in your browser if you want to disable this convenience feature.
When you use LoraxPRO, users generally set up a project profile, invite team members, work on LEED credits, upload information and documents required by the USGBC for each credit to attain LEED certification, perform searches and queries, transmit information through various channels, and other associated activities. We collect this information on your behalf to facilitate the LEED certification process. We also collect information on project team member activities within LoraxPRO including time of login/logout, specific page views, task and credit accomplishment dates, document upload dates, and other actions taken by each user including web pages viewed and links clicked.
Throughout your project, we retain this information so that project team members have access to this information and that this information is available at the time of submission to the USGBC for certification. We also retain this information on your behalf as a system of record for your project. When you update information, we generally maintain one or more backup copies of prior versions for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information.
